Luminent Solutions has partnered with Ether, to provide the e-therapy business platform. Utilizing Ether’s proven platform, Luminent Solutions and the users have a trusted experienced partner who has comprehensive platform services and a secure and reliable service. Thus, Ether will be collecting this information for Luminent. This information is governed by Ether’s Privacy Policy.
Optional information:
During registration and at other times we may ask you for additional information to help improve our offerings and provide better services to our users. You are never required to provide this information, but if you choose to provide any information our processes are designed so that the information you provide can not be associated to your account. Examples of optional information requests are: Date of birth, Gender, marital status, and race.
After a counseling session and at other times we may ask you for feedback about your session and the counselors you have interacted with to help improve our offerings and provide better services to our users. You are never required to provide any information, but if you choose to provide any information our processes are designed so that the information you provide can not be associated to your account.
From time to time we may ask you to complete surveys or participate in contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site and our processes are designed so that the information you provide can not be associated to your account.
If you are engaging in online therapy with a therapist or counselor, he or she should make you aware of other exceptions to confidentiality such as, but is not limited to, suspected cases of child abuse, dependent adult abuse, elder abuse, and in cases where the client is a danger to self or to others.

Furthermore, the staff and agents of Luminent Solutions LLC will only access this information for administrative purposes (or at your request). You may add or update any of your information at any time.
Luminent Solutions has partnered with Ether, to provide the e-therapy business platform. Utilizing Ether’s proven platform, Luminent Solutions, Counselors, and clients have a trusted experienced partner who has comprehensive platform services and a secure and reliable service. Thus, Luminent is required to share your Username, PIN number with Ether. This information is governed by Ether’s Privacy Policy.
We use your license, Social Security Number and malpractice information to verify that you are a valid licensed and insured Counselor in the state in which you reside. We may also use this information to perform a background check.
We use your Office address, unless you notify us otherwise, to send a payment to you.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with users or outside parties.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
Finally, we do not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, he or she may still use our site. The only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some areas of our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

Site and Service Updates
Either directly, or through our partner Ether, we will send site or service announcement updates. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate via email or phone with the user to provide requested services and in regard to issues relating to their account.
